The Minnesota Mine
The mines in Minnesota use heavy machinery and technology to help workers dig for iron ore. The miners work with large machines, tools, and equipment to break apart rocks and move the iron ore out of the mine.
Even though the technology helps the mines produce more iron, it does not protect workers from every danger or prevent unfair treatment. Overall, the film shows how important mining technology was to the industry while highlighting the difficult conditions workers faced every day.
