The social implications of North Country:
North country shows important social issues such as sexism, unfair treatment. and sexual harassment in the workplace. The women in the film work in a mine where they are treated unfairly by the male coworkers because they are women. The film shows how hard it can be to stand up for yourself when others don't believe you or support you. It also shows that it is so important to fight for what is right, even when it is difficult.
Examples from the movie of sexual harassment women endured at the mine.
